Last week(end) we've had a few summer days...here in Holland we'll go from  a horrible summer to fall, back to sunny and warm...and why not?!? back to autumn again :o

At least Pops had the chance to use her beachcruiser in a good way, all by herself.
It was in the shed for a long time and Miss Grumpy refused to ride it! We still don't know why,but for some silly reason obviously, she was scared...for falling ...for cars...for other kids laughing.
But that's all over now....she likes it again <3 and now she realised its's easy -lol-

Monday she had to go  to hospital in Dirksland, after a few ear infections and sinusitis, she couldn't  hear things that well. Now she has tubes for drainage...after 7 minutes  it was all done!
As soon as we where at home she was sitting with her hands over her ears -Mum!!Stop talkin n coughing that loud!!- Perfect...now we won't have to yell or ask everything more than once.

She's a bit bored now...finally on a Friday,all the  ieuw stuff is out,next week it's back to school again.

Aaaah...writing this...sun still shining and it started pouring rain,even hail !!

Like  looking forward to nice things  for next year...as  my Luv was playing google-wizz during his waiting-hours in Rostock. Health-insurance will be much cheaper, just one more bonus !?!

Fixing dinner

It's there....

Autumn...fálll(as in...all leaves and rain falls down??)  Not quite my favorite season of the year I  guess ;) Lovely colors and great on pics,but I really hate the cold. Or is it my body that hates it?

Went to see a doc for the stupid pain  and swollen feet and fingers I have after walking too much.
Always thought pelvic related problems was enough @#$ on my plate...
Now it seems being tired,and the painfull joints/muscles have a complete different cause, after a few minutes the doc said "I'm kinda surprised I didn't see you here sooner...you are hypermobile"
Well thanks sooo much :\ 

Knowing this  sure ain't helping...but now I do realise why I feel way better in spring and summer ahaha my wish will be granted...soon.

We had an appointment at the Dutch Migration Institute to fill in some forms...for us  it's another step,closer to Portugal. Juli 2012
Hate to break it to some friends...but we are moving,and yeah...it ís serious!!!
If keeping in touch is so damned hard now...I seriously wonder how it will go -if we're 2300km furtherdowntheroad ;p

Still need to attached the ears in the right place...She's sound asleep now,guess that has to wait till tomorrow...

Since we started giving her real food...as in real meat... Sally is hungry wayyy before her dinnertime! Yesterday she grabbed it from the garden table!  Yummieee!!!  It's duck tonight...Yayyyy!!!    She ate almost everything...including the plastic wrap!
Caught her in the act...but couldn't stop laughing.
Just try to sound really serious , when she has that look in her eyes saying:
                                 
 But I was really,really hungry!!!(Will she fall for it???)

This yarn (arcrylic & wool blend) is perfect for Infinity scarfs or scowls...

works up so easy, this pink scowl is for Pops ; )

Love this light grey one, 1.80( around) x 20cm...

made 2 in different stitches,single and double yarn.

Just to see wich one gave the bulkiest effect.

Still figuring out a slouchy hat to go with it...would make a great (gift) set.

Baby sizes for earflaps..still a challenge,since I'm working without a pattern.

Dutch patterns are like some secret language to me...in english it makes a bit more sence ; )

But it's more fun to start with  a nice yarn and just see what comes out....

sometimes like reinventing the wheel -lol-

For now...at the end of 'summer'  working on some wearable,warm autumn /winter items.

Early Fall?

Looks  and feels like the end of something that was supposed to be summer...really didn't feel like posting pics of our summer vacation. Cause it means autumn is close...just doesn't feel ok here in Holland,where it seems like we're always waiting for better.
Better weather,better times,better...everything.
No i'm not depressed or down,in fact...I feel happy,looking at our near future....but where do you start explaining to friends and family?!?


Our here will be there in less than a year! We talk about it every day and we do know it's the right choice.

P.S. Maybe I should  post more often..maybe I will....maybe it would be nice to know if there are friends and family members reading it....maybe in a while it is  a good blog to read,to see how we're doing ?!?
But hey..that's a lot a maybe's ^^

Almost there...

Waking up with a blue sky and sun...feels great,we've had a bit too much rain the last few weeks.
Last monday-morning-drama...ooh more like no-drama ahaha she was al done and ready 15mins earlier than usual...dressed for a warm,tropical day.
Friday summer vacation starts round 12...we'll have to wait  a few weeks till our Road-Trip to Portugal starts...can't wait!
I want to go ...yesterday!! 2 Wks Costa da Caparica,Praia de Saúde...on the beach :O
Start the day with a huge coffee,fresh bread and my toes in the sand...walkabout with Shortzz and Sally (before it's too crowded with people who can't understand a bully is not scary and just havin'fun ;))

Tried to follow a pattern..simply because I liked it,funny thing is - just can't do a pattern and leave it ahaha it always needs a Tools Twist...reason enough not to follow any pattern...start on  a bag and see how it grows ; )

Love those 50's aprons,the ones with  the heart shaped bib are so cute! Found  a lot of free patterns...but hey, it is not that hard to do without....is it?!?  It is!!  if you barely now how to work a sowingmachine ahaha  in theorie I do know .( most of the times I just start on something new and I'll learn along the way, as with crochet...started in December'10,by now I read the patterns but create a lot by just starting without)

Sooo...I had something I wanted to do for my CherryPops.
Found the pink polka dot fabric in the attic, bought quit some time ago(some ideas keep  coming back,untill it is hunting me) and ran to.... my mum ; )

She showed how to...almost a tutorial -woohoo- ♥ her for that, kinda pleased with the result..ok,it still needs a bit of edging round the bib,buttons( apron without the bib  is also very cute) and a little pocket. Maybe the ruffles on the shoulders...but  I'm getting there ; ))

Bags for Beans...

Had to find something new....no one wants a  beanie now ,funny how 'summer' started before easter!?!
Been busy for a month now...crochet beachbags should do it  ; )
